It’s all about the beer
Reykjavík Brewing Company is one of the first independent craft breweries in Iceland, conveniently located in the heart of Reykjavík. Since 2017, the Brewing Company has been crafting Icelandic beers and during this short but rich history our passion for the fine art of brewing has only grown. With more than 200 recipes crafted in the broad scope between the conventional and the unconventional we have developed an admiration for the classics mixed with a norm-defying attitude. The result is a tasteful experience by a celebration of beers adventurously ranging from refreshing lagers to fruit infused ales, milkshake beers and more.
We started brewing in the “Old Brewery” in May 2018 and opened a small tap room there later that summer. After a couple of years we had totally outgrown the capacity of the 40HL brewery so we started work on our “New Brewery” in the building next to the old. We opened this 300HL brewery in July 2022. In June 2024 we moved our tap room to a much larger space above the new brewery. A former cinema turned into a bingo hall, it is now the best place to sample our beers on 22 taps.

Our tap room is located in an old cinema at Skipholt 33. There is plenty of free parking in front of the building.
It’s only a short walk from downtown. Easiest wlking access is from Laugavegur, the main street downtown. A few minutes after passing Hlemmur Square you will come to a construction site at Noatun. Head up the street to Skipholt, then turn left until you see the “Tonabio” cinema.
